Jiyuan was once the capital of Xia Dynasty, Zhi Dou in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, and the capital of Han Dynasty. There has been a history of 1396 since the Sui Dynasty. There are more than 250 large and small cultural relics, including 6 national key cultural relics protection units (Jidu Temple, Fengxian Temple, daming temple, Yanqing Temple Pagoda, Balcony Palace and Guo Zi Ancient City) and 0/2 Henan cultural relics protection units (Miaojie Site, Guandi Temple, Lishugou Site, Qinhe Ancient Plank Road and wulongkou). Among all the cultural relics, ancient wooden buildings account for a large proportion, including about 190 buildings in the Song, Jin, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. Many single buildings are second to none in the province in terms of scale, value and structure, such as the bedroom of Jidu Temple (Song Kaibao) and the Dongfumen of Qingyuan (Ming Dynasty). Therefore, Mr. Luo, a famous ancient architecture expert,
Jiyuan Museum has more than 4000 pieces of cultural relics/kloc-0, including 8 pieces of first-class/kloc-0, 57 pieces of second-class/kloc-0, and 2737 pieces of third-class. In addition, the rich cultural relics resources are also reflected in the preservation of a large number of stone inscriptions, celebrity inscriptions and famous trees in different periods. For example, Xue Xichang's Tang Ji Du Lu and Mr. Tang's Temple Group in Tang Dynasty, the stone tablet of Taishang Laojun in Fengxian Temple, Zhao Mengfu's Notes on Flying Dragons, Ming Hongwu's Monument to Daming Imperial Decree, Qilv Monument, Sanqing Hall in Balcony Palace, and the embossed Panlong stone pillar and Qinggan in Ming Dynasty.
