Simple bookmark making method

Exquisite bookmark practice:

Fold the white cardboard in half, cut the white cardboard into a rectangle with scissors. The cutting process should not be too wide or too narrow. Use a punch to make a round hole at the top of the rectangle, draw the pattern you want on the white cardboard, write your favorite words if you can't draw it, and tie the bookmark with a ribbon after you finish.

There is another method: fold two colorful square cardboard in half, then use tools to dig out a hollow love shape on the surfaces of the two cardboard, continue to use tools to make a round hole right above the cardboard, tie a red rope, and finally cut the four corners more smoothly, and a simple love bookmark will be made.

The manual steps for making bookmarks are as follows:

1. Select the paper you want. Select a cardboard to support your bookmark, and then paste another pattern or image on it. You can use other paper to collage, or you can choose multiple patterns at will.

2. Paper cutting. Bookmarks can be as big as you like. Cut the cardboard into small and inconspicuous bookmarks only 2.5 mm long, or choose to make traditional bookmarks 5 to 7.5 mm wide. Don't make the bookmark longer than 15 cm, or the bookmark will protrude from the top or bottom of the book.

Step 3 add details. Use screened decorative paper or pattern, cut it out and stick it on the cardboard. You can paste a textured paper or a pattern cut from a magazine on the whole card paper to add style to your handmade works.

Adding sequins or stickers is a good way to personalize your bookmarks.

You can bookmark your favorite words, phrases or famous sayings with marker or signature pen. You can also draw your own pictures, or describe the details on the small pieces of paper and patterns you put on.

Paste the pictures cut from the magazine on the cardboard repeatedly to form a mosaic. You can also use your own private photos.

4. Seal the bookmark. In order to prevent the bookmark from being worn or damaged, a protective sleeve can be added to the bookmark. If possible, plastic sleeves can be used for lamination.

You can also paste wide wrapping tapes of the same length on both sides of the bookmark to achieve the same effect.

You can consider using a manual liquid gel similar to epoxy glue to color both sides of the bookmark. Apply one side at a time, dry and then apply the other side.
