First, in the last years of Lingdi, I was going to have a taste in the capital, and then I went back to China with Tsao Kung to recruit beauty. Hui Ling collapsed, the world was in chaos, and the army was going to beg Dong Zhuo.
Secondly, Cao Cao took refuge in Liu Bei, ready to vent to Yuan Shao, knowing that Cao Cao had a plan. Cao Cao's tongue is bloody, warning future generations with a slip of the tongue.
Two anecdotes about Liu Bei's early contacts with Cao are precious only in the book "Heroes of Han History". Although some people doubt its authenticity, it is mainly aimed at whether Liu Bei knew Cao Cao before and after Dong Zhuo's rebellion. However, as a trusted minister under Cao Cao, RoyceWong is unlikely to make things out of nothing. RoyceWong's writing about Cao Cao has advantages that ordinary historians don't have. He and Cao Cao lived together day and night, and many materials came from Cao Cao himself, so these two records should be true.
Judging from the early behaviors of Liu Bei and Cao Cao, it can be said that they knew each other very early. Cao Cao lived in his hometown of Guo Peiqiao County before he was 20 years old, and then went to Luoyang Imperial College to study. At the age of 20, he took part in the work. He served as a captain in Luoyang North, Dunqiu, Negotiator Lang, Qi, Jinan Guo Xiang and Dianjun successively, and his behavior was very distinct. Liu Bei's early deeds are not as clear as Cao Cao's, but the basic situation can also be checked.
Liu Bei was born in Yan Xi for four years (16 1), and Cao Cao was five years old. His ancestral home is Zhuoxian (now Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province), Zhuo Jun County, and the secretariat of Youzhou. According to the records in the History of the Three Kingdoms and Huayang, Liu Bei is a descendant of Liu Sheng, the son of Emperor Jing of the Western Han Dynasty. His ancestor's name is Xiong Liu, and he is the county magistrate of Fanxian County under the East County of Yanzhou Secretariat. His father's name is ricas, and he is probably a local grass-roots civil servant. Liu Bei's father, Likas, died when he was very young, and his family fortune declined. His mother took "selling shoes and weaving mats" as her profession and became a craftsman and a small trader. In that light business era, their social status was relatively low.
But Liu Bei has a good mother and is very concerned about her son's education. At the age of fifteen, his mother asked Liu Bei to go out to study, and together with Liu Deran and Gongsun Zan from western Liaoning, he worshipped Lu Zhi, a native of Zhuozhou. Lu Zhi was a famous soldier at the end of Han Dynasty, a former satrap of Jiujiang and a great scholar. Liu Beishi became famous, which not only increased his social status, but also made friends with Gongsun Zan and other students. With these social resources, Liu Bei will have more room for development in the future. After graduating from Lu Zhi, Liu Bei began to make friends with Hao Xia. He is charming, loyal and a student of Master Lu, so he is attached to teenagers, including Guan Yu from Hedong County and Zhang Fei from County.
In a blink of an eye, in the first year of Zhong Ping (184), Liu Bei was 23 years old, and his life took an important turning point. This year, the Yellow Scarf Uprising broke out. Zhuo Jun, Liu Bei's hometown, was one of the key areas, and the imperial court lacked the necessary preparations. In desperation, it organized several troops to suppress the Yellow Scarf Army. These troops were led by Huang Fusong, Zhu Jun and others. Lu Zhi, Liu Bei's teacher, suppressed the people's uprising during his tenure.
Liu Bei led Guan Yu, Zhang Fei and others to work for Mr. Lu, and was recruited as a captain by Lu Zhi, named Zou Jing. The captain is a senior officer, about equivalent to the current teacher. Liu Bei and others are unknown in military positions, and may not be too high. In the process of suppressing the yellow turban insurrectionary army, Liu Bei made great contributions and was appointed by the court as the Xi county magistrate of Zhongshan Guoan. This position is lower than that of county magistrate or county magistrate, and it is roughly equivalent to that of deputy county magistrate and public security chief. Although the level is not high, it can exercise people. Cao Cao, Sun Jian and Sun Quan all did it.
According to the Records of the Three Kingdoms, Liu Bei did not do well in this position, so the incident of "flogging Du You" happened. He beat the leader of the inspection team sent by his superiors, and Liu Bei had to abandon his official position and flee. At this time, it was just catching up with blades and Yuan Shao recruiting everywhere, and some speculators ran to Luoyang. According to the Records of the Three Kingdoms, Liu Bei came to Luoyang with Guan Yu, Zhang Fei and others, and was collected by blades into the hands of a man named Qiu Yi. The experience that Liu Bei and Cao Cao met in Luoyang in Heroes at the End of Han Dynasty happened around this time.
However, the Records of the Three Kingdoms are different from the records of heroes in the late Han Dynasty. According to the Records of the Three Kingdoms, blades sent Qiu Yi to Danyang County of Yangzhou Secretariat Department to recruit soldiers, and Liu Bei and others went with him. When I arrived in Xiapi, I met the Yellow Scarf Army. In the battle, Liu Bei made great contributions again, and was appointed as Xiami County Cheng, equivalent to the deputy magistrate, and was appointed as Gaotang County Committee, and later promoted to Gaotang County Order. Gaomi County and Gaotang County are both in Shandong. Liu Bei neither went to Danyang County nor returned to Luoyang, but went directly to Shandong. However, according to RoyceWong, Liu Bei left Luoyang with Cao Cao and went to Guo Pei to "woo America". Cao Cao left Luoyang while Yuan Shao abandoned his post and went to Jizhou. If Cao Cao escaped from Luoyang with Liu Bei, Guan Yu, Zhang Fei and others, it would be inconsistent with the statement of the Three Kingdoms.
Investigate Cao Cao's whereabouts and escape from Luoyang in a more embarrassing way than Yuan Shao. According to the biography of Queen Bian in The Romance of Three Kingdoms, he didn't even have time to inform his family, and his wife and his family in Luoyang were frightened. According to Shu Wei, Shi Yu and Miscellaneous Notes, when Cao Cao fled through Gaoping County, he defected to his old friend Lv Boshe's house and killed a group of Lu family members. According to Shi Yu, Cao Cao was recognized as a wanted man when he fled to zhongmou county, so he was arrested. Fortunately, the county magistrate made meritorious deeds, saying that "the world is in chaos and it is not appropriate to detain heroes in the world" and advised the county magistrate to let Cao Cao go. All the above records show that Cao Cao fled alone, especially the different versions of the Lujia murder case also show that there was no one else around Cao Cao at that time, otherwise it would not have left such a big controversy for future generations.
Liu Bei didn't return to Luoyang. He wasn't there when Cao Cao escaped. At the same time, according to various historical records, Cao Cao escaped without others. Obviously, the records in Heroes in the Late Han Dynasty are untrue. Heroes at the end of Han Dynasty is not an official history, but it is not a legendary novel. Most of the historical facts recorded in it are well-founded, because RoyceWong is a first-hand witness of that history and a hero in the late Han Dynasty, which is also considered as an "oral history". Especially when recording Cao Cao's content, RoyceWong can't make it up. How to understand this record about Liu Bei following Cao Cao to recruit soldiers in Guo Pei?
In fact, a careful study of the history before and after Cao Cao's escape should also be true, except that it was not the time when Cao Cao fled, but earlier, before blades was killed. Before He Jin was killed, Cao Cao was a captain of the Imperial Army and one of the famous "Eight Commanders in Xiyuan". This is a new army under construction. Cao Cao's first problem in this position is to recruit soldiers, and then prepare and practice after he has a source of soldiers. At the same time, Yuan Shao gave him advice on how to lead foreign soldiers into Beijing. Blades in addition to Dong Zhuo and others called to Luoyang, but also sent many people out to recruit, such as Zhang Liao, Baoxin, Zhang Miao, Wang Kuang, Qiu Yi, this time have been sent to various places. In the past, Cao Cao was among those who were sent to recruit soldiers. If we analyze this record in Heroes at the End of Han Dynasty, we can be sure that Cao Cao also participated in the recruitment. The place of conscription was his hometown of Guo Pei, and Liu Bei, Guan Yu, Zhang Fei and others also took part in the conscription.
