Motherland, My Dear Motherland is one of Shu Ting's representative works, which aims to express the poet's deep affection for the motherland. Compared with similar poems in the past, it has distinct characteristics and personality of the times-both the confusion, pain and happy hope of contemporary youth and the true feelings of daughter's dissatisfaction and dedication to the motherland. The whole poem is novel in conception and sincere in feelings. Contrary to the floating and mythical praise of some previous poems, it sings the songs of the motherland from a unique angle.
