Liu Yuxi
Before the court, the peony flowers were unqualified, and the pool was full of flowers and little affection.
Only the peony is the real beauty, which attracted countless people to appreciate at the flowering stage and alarmed the whole Chang 'an City.
"The real flower in the world is only one ear of peony." (Ouyang Xiu's Preface to Peony) Peony is a national color, gorgeous and beautiful, and is regarded as the treasure of flowers.
People in China have loved to plant peony, admire peony and chant peony since ancient times. When peonies are in full bloom, people will compete to watch them regardless of their relatives and friends. It is from this perspective that Liu Yuxi created the poem "Appreciating Peony". Although there are only four short sentences, it has become a household name.
In this poem, the author's delicate description of peony is completely absent, but the image of peony is set off in the first couplet. First of all, the author describes the peony in front of the court with the word "demon without qualification", which means gorgeous, but here it means that the peony in front of the court is gorgeous, but it is difficult to give people the impression of elegance and generosity. The second sentence, "The lotus in front of the pond is pure and heartless", means that although the lotus in the pond comes from clear water and is carved by nature, it gives people a clean and beautiful feeling, but it lacks that special style. As can be seen from the article, these two sentences do not mention peony flowers, but use more words to describe and comment on "peony" and "lotus". However, this is the beauty of the author's creative technique. "Peony" is gorgeous but elegant, "Lotus" is pure and beautiful but lacks amorous feelings, while the defects of two flowers are relatively bright and fresh, so who can have the best of both worlds? At this point, this poem has completed a solid foundation. With a change of pen, the author suddenly rose to a new height. We might as well analyze the bottom line.
"Only peony is the real national color", and the word "Wei" here is used appropriately, which means that only peony is the real national color, not other kinds of flowers and plants, and plays an important role. And the word "true" gives people the feeling that it is true, without any whitewashing. Here, the author does not use flowery words to describe peony, but only uses the word "national color" to summarize it. The word "national color" is taken from the word "national color and fragrance" Used here, it means that no language can express the beauty of peony-that gorgeous but amorous feelings. It makes the beauty of peony "in a word", which is beyond doubt. Since Peony is honored as the king of flowers, how can the world show her love? The author didn't use a large space to describe Shang Huashi's human landscape, only said that the word "move" in the middle of "move" described the landscape at that time, which really played the role of finishing touch.
