One Oxford, one Yale; A genius, a madman.
James Murray used diligence to pursue his dreams, and William Chester Miner used poetry to solve crimes. Their circumstances are completely different, but they have become best friends because of a grand cause. They are important figures in the early stage of the compilation of the Oxford English Dictionary.
Oxford English Dictionary is regarded as the most comprehensive and authoritative English dictionary. By the end of 2005, the dictionary had included 30 1 100 subject words.
