Longmen Mountain is located in a Quexia gorge in the south of Luoyang, which was dug by Dayu when he was controlling water. Also known as yique mountain, quesai mountain and quekou mountain. Longmen Mountain is originally a connected whole, regardless of east and west mountains. Yu chiseled the dragon gate and split it in two. After Wu Zetian built Xiangshan Temple, Longmen Dongshan was called "Xiangshan" and Longmen Xishan continued to be called "Longmen Mountain".
Longmen ranks first among the eight scenic spots in Luoyang. There are many scenic spots on the mountain, such as Longmen Grottoes, Longmen Ten Monasteries, Longmen Mountain Forest Park, Fengxiang Hot Springs, Longmen National Wetland Park, Ginkgo Fairy Village, Longmen Ecological Agriculture Sightseeing Park, Longmen Mountain Peony Garden, China Martial Arts Park and so on.
Longmen Mountain is 303.5 meters above sea level and belongs to the branch of Xiong 'er Mountain Range. Topographically, it belongs to low hills, with gentle mountains and extremely lush vegetation. 2. Longmen Ten Monastery
Longmen Ten Temples refers to ten wooden temples distributed in Longmen Mountain in Luoyang during the Tang Dynasty. They are Xiangshan Temple, Fengxian Temple, Guanghua Temple, Jingshan Temple, Bordet Temple, Tianzhu Temple, Gan Yuan Temple, Baoying Temple, Shengshan Temple and Longhua Temple.
3. Forest Park
Longmenshan Forest Park is one of the four major forest parks in Luoyang (Xiaolangdi, Zhoushan, Shangqing Palace and Longmenshan). It was built into a forest park in 2002. There are 3,000 mu of cherry blossoms, peach blossoms and pear blossoms planted in the park, which attracts a large number of citizens to visit and receives more than 6,543,800 visitors every year.
