Where are the Dojo of the first, second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth ancestors of Zen? What is their big event?

Zen has six ancestors, which we often see on TV and in novels. We are most familiar with Master Huineng, the sixth ancestor of China, a native of China. There are many rumors about Master Huineng. He was born in a poor family. He overheard the Diamond Sutra and became a monk after enlightenment. Later, for the sake of Buddhism, Hongren, the fifth ancestor, was the teacher, and he realized a great wisdom poem in Dongshan Temple: Bodhi has no trees, and a mirror cannot stand. There is nothing, so there is no dust. People are deeply moved. Later, after more than ten years of enlightenment in the secular world, he went out to preach Buddhism and finally died in Guo' en Temple in Xinzhou. So Guo 'en Temple is his Dojo.

Hirohito, the fifth ancestor, is the mentor of Huineng, the sixth ancestor. He spread Huineng to Dongshan Temple, hoping that the host would show that Dongshan Temple was his Dojo. Hongren had a hard life, and his extensive and profound Buddhism trained many good disciples for the Buddha, which is also considered endless.

Sima Daoxin, the fourth ancestor, was a figure in Sui and Tang Dynasties. He couldn't bear to witness the suffering of the world during the war. He devoted himself to Buddhism and studied Buddhism with his three ancestors. Later, he settled in Jizhoufu Temple, became a Dojo, and took five ancestors as disciples.

Sanzu Sanggan, also known as a monk, was a great man in the Sui Dynasty. There were few monks at that time. The three ancestors traveled around to publicize Buddhism and made great contributions to the rise of Buddhism. The third ancestor was also accepted as a disciple by the second ancestor. After studying Buddhism for several years, he took over the banner of Buddhism and became the host. At that time, the Dojo was in Luoyang.

Zuhui is from Luoyang. He entered the Buddha at an older age of 40. At that time, when people reached middle age, the unhappiness in life made him realize that he had escaped into an empty net. Buddhism has become an important factor in the introduction of Buddhism from China to Buddhism. Because Hui is from Luoyang, his Dojo is located in Luoyang.

Dharma, a Zen monk and ancestor of Buddhism in the Southern and Northern Dynasties, was proficient in Mahayana Buddhism, which laid a solid foundation for the rise of Buddhism later. He has no fixed Dojo, but he often preaches in Luoyang and Songshan, which can be said to be his Dojo.
