It is said that the tea as a tribute was collected from a tea tree in the village of Pantang, with a crown diameter of three meters, which is much larger than ordinary tea trees. Today, this fine variety of tea tree is still preserved in this place. Every year in Tomb-Sweeping Day, tea trees grow tender teeth. Tea farmers choose to pick it in time on sunny days, then dry it, fry it, knead it, dry it, and finally seal it and store it. When making tea, use the water from the pigeon well. Put a handful of tea leaves in a cup, pour the boiling water of pigeons, and a pair of fog shaped like pigeons fly out of the cup. The tea leaves in the cup stand like needles, which is a spectacle. If tea leaves from other places were soaked in the dove well, there would be no such landscape. Therefore, there is a folk saying that "the tea in Hujiayuan is the water in Baigejing". The local government shipped the tea to Beijing together with the water in the pigeon well. That year, during the tribute voyage, the water taken from the dove well was dumped, so it was impossible to go back and get it. In order to keep his head, the police scooped water from the river and poured it into the altar to fill in the numbers. When the emperor was drinking tea, he found that no "white dove" flew out, and Yan Long was furious. So he sealed the pigeon well as a dry well. Since then, there has been no spring water gushing out of Baigejing. However, the quality of Jiangtou tea has not declined as before, and it is famous for its own characteristics.
Today, it is probably the aura of Pantang Village. The quality of every tea tree introduced by Jiangtou is still good, especially the tea in Pantang, Silkworm and Dragon Village.
