Emo was originally an artist-style music from hardcore punk, but in the late 1990s, it became an important force in underground rock, joining punk and indie rock musicians at that time. Some Emo music tends to be radical, and the works are full of complex guitar playing, unconventional song structure, artist-like noise and extreme changes in the position of musical instruments; Some Emo music is closer to punk pop music, although it still looks a bit difficult to understand. Emo's lyrics are very personal, usually either fantasy poems or personal confessions. Although Emo is not so masculine, it is still a direct descendant of hardcore as a pursuit of truth and anti-commercialism.
