Tianan city gate explanation

Tiananmen Gate consists of two parts: Gate Tower and Gate Tower. It is made of white marble with a total height of 34.7 meters. Tiananmen Gate Tower is 66 meters long and 37 meters wide, located on the central axis of Beijing Imperial City. Tiananmen Square was originally named Chengtianmen, which means "blessed by heaven and ordered by heaven". In the eighth year of Qing Shunzhi (165 1), it was officially renamed Tiananmen Square.
