Bai Juyi's poem describing the West Lake

Spring Tour of Qiantang Lake

[Tang Dynasty] Bai Juyi

To the west of Mao Pavilion in the north of Gushan Temple, the water surface is initially flat and the clouds are low.

Where are the early orioles vying for warmth in the trees, but whose new swallows are pecking at the spring mud?

Indiscriminate flowers gradually dazzle everyone's eyes, and only Asakusa has no horse hooves.

My favorite lake is not enough eastward, with green poplars and white sand embankments.
