Where are my wife and son? There is not a trace of sadness on their faces. However, I frantically packed my books and poems in order to recall the sad faces of their wives and children. I don't know where they went, but I was ecstatic when I randomly arranged my collection of poems.
Note: reading it means looking back. A wife is a wife and children. Where is the sadness? How can there be a little sadness? Worry has disappeared without a trace. Ju m \u n refers to a book of poems rolled up at random, which means Du Fu can't wait to pack up and get ready to go home.
This poem comes from a poem by Du Fu, a poet in the Tang Dynasty, "The banks of the Yellow River were recovered by the imperial army". The original poem is as follows:
The news of this distant western station! The north has been recovered! At first, I couldn't stop crying on my coat. Where are my wife and son? There is not a trace of sadness on their faces. However, I packed my books and poems crazily.
On a green spring day, I began to go home, singing my songs loudly and drinking my wine. Come back from this mountain, pass another mountain, go up from the south and then go north-to my own town! .
Interpretation of vernacular Chinese: Suddenly, outside the sword gate, I heard that the government troops had recovered the northern thistle. At first, I heard uncontrollable tears spilling all over my clothes. Looking back, I don't know where the sad faces of my wife and children have gone, and I can't help but be ecstatic when I sort out my poems at random. Singing and drinking during the day, spring just accompanied me back to my long-lost hometown. Set out immediately, pass through Basha, Wuxia, then Xiangyang, and then transfer to Luoyang, the old capital.
Extended data
Creative background: The Imperial Army Recovered the Banks of the Yellow River was written in the spring of the first year of Guangde (AD 763). Du Fu was 52 years old. In the winter of the first year of Baoying (AD 762), Tang Jun won a great victory in Hengshui near Luoyang, and rebel leaders Xue Song and Zhang Zhongzhi surrendered one after another. Large areas of land in Henan and Hebei were successively recovered by government forces, and the "Anshi Rebellion" that lasted for more than seven years came to an end.
The theme of the poem is to express the joy of hearing the good news that the rebellion has subsided and returning home. "The news of this distant western station! The north has been taken back! " The rapid rise just shows the suddenness of good news. The poet has been wandering outside the sword for many years, so it is difficult to prepare for a taste. Because of the failure of "Jibei" and the Anshi rebellion, it is impossible to return to my hometown.
Now, the "thistle that suddenly spread to the north", the torrent of surprise suddenly burst open the emotional floodgate that had been suppressed for a long time, making the poet surge in emotion. The "first smell" follows the "sudden spread", which means that the good news comes too suddenly, while the "tears full of clothes" vividly shows the emotional waves aroused by the sudden good news at the moment of "first smell", which is the true expression of joy and sadness and the intersection of sadness and joy.
"Jibei" has been collected, the war will stop, and the suffering of Gankun and Limin will be cured. The poet, who was displaced from place to place and hated other sufferings, finally got through it. However, after drawing a lesson from the bitter experience, the poet recalled the sufferings he had endured in the past eight years, but he couldn't help but feel sad and unable to restrain himself. Then turn grief into joy, in heaven. The poet only uses the word "tears full of clothes" to describe the image.
"Looking at the wife" and "reading poetry" are two continuous actions, which have a certain causal relationship. Poets will naturally think of their wives and children who have suffered together for many years when they are sad and happy and "full of tears." I don't know where the cloud that has shrouded the whole family for many years has gone. Relatives are smiling, and the poet has no intention of bending over his desk. He rolled up his poems at will and shared the joy of victory.
"Day" refers to sunny days, indicating that people have reached old age. Old people rarely "sing" and should not "indulge in wine"; Nowadays "singing songs" and "indulging in wine" are the concrete manifestations of "ecstasy". This sentence was written in a "crazy" state, and the next sentence was written in a "crazy" thinking. "Youth" refers to the scenery in spring. Spring has arrived, and it is time to "go home" with his wife and children among flowers, birds, fish and insects.
On the green spring day when I came home, the poet at the end of the couplet was in Zizhou, but his heart suddenly returned to his hometown. This couplet contains four place names. "Under the Dam", "Martial Arts", "Xiangyang" and "Luoyang" are all dual. The dynamics of "wear" and "direction" and the repetition of the Three Gorges and Yang, the style and tone of writing are as fast as lightning, which accurately shows the galloping of the poet's imagination.
