Guangdong University of Technology, formerly known as Guangzhou Institute of Technology, started its undergraduate course 1958. After the history of Central South Institute of Science and Technology and Guangdong Institute of Technology, Guangdong Institute of Technology was merged into Guangdong University of Technology on 1995.
