Author: Lu Guimeng
People on the river don't ask, but they are drunk for ten years.
Diligently untie lilac knots, spread branches and spread spring.
Lu Guimeng's poem "Lilac" means: I am as noble as lilac, living far from the secular river, which has not attracted the attention of ordinary people. The accumulation of more than ten years can only be self-appreciation and narcissism. Whoever can find and untie the knot in Lilac's heart will release his feelings and talents to Fragrant Wan Li.
Lilac knot is a traditional melancholy image, and Lu Guimeng uses lilacs to express his love. The first two sentences say that poets are at large in the world, and the last two sentences hope that all lovers in the world are good, so that the world is full of love, just like flowers in spring, and love will blossom everywhere.
Lu Guimeng lived in seclusion because he repeatedly refused to take the examination of Jinshi. However, his heart naturally did not calm down. This song "Lilacs" is a metaphor. Lilac grows by the river and nobody cares about it. She lives in seclusion and has reached middle age. Both of them are unappreciated and bored. They talked about their interests, untied the lilacs and let them bloom at will, expressing the poet's desire to be appreciated and display his talents.
