Yueyang embraces Dongting, is connected to the Yangtze River for thousands of miles, is connected to the important town of Wuhan to the north, and is connected to the three Hunan and four rivers to the south. It is a famous cultural city with a history of more than 2,500 years. The beautiful natural scenery and unique geographical environment have made Yueyang a battleground for military strategists since ancient times, a place where merchants gathered and a place where immigrants and poets gathered. According to archival records, Li Bai, the poet of the Tang Dynasty, visited Yueyang six times and left more than 20 beautiful poems reciting Dongting Lake, Yueyang and Junshan.
Li Bai (701-762), courtesy name Taibai and Qinglian Jushi, was born in Chengji, Longxi. According to the "New Book of Tang Dynasty", he was "acquainted with poetry and books at the age of ten"; "The Biography of Talented Scholars of the Tang Dynasty" is also said to be "acquainted with the Five Classics at the age of ten". At the age of 25, Li Bai left the Three Gorges with the "ambition of the four directions" and roamed around various places, floating in Dongting in the south, Wuyue in the east, Taiyuan in the north, and Qilu in the east. During the reign of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, he was called to serve as a member of the Imperial Academy. Soon, he was slandered and forced to leave Chang'an. Since then, he has been wandering for a long time, traveling to most of China.
In the second year of Emperor Qianyuan of the Tang Dynasty (759), after Li Bai was implicated in Yong Wang Li Lin's failure to compete for the throne and was exiled, his patriotism did not weaken at all. Later, he was overjoyed when the imperial court granted him amnesty. He returned east along the Yangtze River, passed through Jiangling and other places, and came to Yueyang. He accompanied his friend Xia Twelve to visit Yueyang Tower, and wrote the famous "Climbing Yueyang Tower with Xia Twelve". The full poem goes:
The tower overlooks the end of Yueyang, and the Sichuan River opens to the Dongting.
The geese lead away the sorrowful heart, and the mountains carry the beautiful moon.
I stay in the clouds and receive my cup in the sky.
After getting drunk, the cool breeze blows and people dance on their sleeves.
The poet climbed up to the Yueyang Tower and could not help but be amazed when he saw the vast and open 800-mile Dongting in front of the tower. On the one hand, the poet reflects the objects, and on the other hand, he uses the scenery to express his emotions. His active use of the world and concern for the people's emotions are vividly displayed on the paper, and the emotions and scenery complement each other and become one.
Li Ye, the Minister of Punishment of the Tang Dynasty, was Li Bai's clan uncle. He was demoted to Lingxiawei by Emperor Suzong of the Tang Dynasty because he violated the eunuch Li Fuguo during his imprisonment. He also passed through Yuezhou in the second year of Qianyuan of the Tang Dynasty (759). Li Bai went boating in Dongting with Li Ye and Jia Zhi, and wrote "Five Poems Accompanying Uncle Xingbu Shilang Ye and Zhongshu Jia Sheren on a Tour to Dongting" with great enthusiasm. Two of them are:
( 1) Looking to the west from Dongting, the Chu River divides. The water is gone and there are no clouds in the south sky. The autumn scenery of Changsha is far away at sunset. I don’t know where to pay my respects to Mr. Xiang.
(2)
The autumn water of Nanhu Lake is smoke-free at night, and you can ride the current straight to the sky.
Let's take advantage of the moonlight in Dongting and buy wine on the boat beside the white clouds.
In the same year, Li Bai accompanied his uncle Li Ye to visit Dongting Lake, drank and sang wildly, and wrote "Drunk After Accompanying His Uncle Li Ye on a Tour to Dongting", which is:
(1) Today's Bamboo Forest Banquet , my virtuous servant. After three cups of wine, Xiao Ruan became mad after being drunk.
(2) There was a lot of music on the boat, and the moon was shining in the middle of the lake before returning. The white gulls have no time to go, and they are flying over the wine feast.
(3)
Jianque Junshan is good, and the Xiang River flows smoothly.
There is unlimited wine in Baling, and the drunkenness kills Dongting in autumn.
This is a set of travel poems by Li Bai, consisting of three five-character quatrains. The three songs can all form independent chapters, and the third one is a lyrical swan song with a unique concept.
In addition, while in Yuezhou, Li Bai wrote the famous couplet of Yueyang Tower in his own handwriting:
The water and sky are one color, the wind and moon are boundless
The author uses concise and vivid writing It depicts the natural scenery of Dongting Lake where the water and the sky meet, and the clear water and sky. It has always been highly praised by literati.
In August of the second year of Qianyuan of Tang Dynasty (759), Xiangzhou guards Kang Chuyuan and Zhang Xiyan launched a rebellion. At that time, Li Bai, who was in Yueyang, wrote the poem "Thieves are coming to Dongting in chaos", angrily denounced the traitors as "snake cultivators" running rampant in Dongting, condemned the crimes of traitors and deserters, and expressed his feelings. The poet is eager to put down the rebellion quickly.
On September 9 of that year, the Double Ninth Festival, Li Bai climbed Mount Baling. When the Tang Dynasty navy deployed against Kang and Zhang on Dongting Lake, he was extremely excited and wrote "Nine Days of Climbing". Baling set up wine to watch the Dongting navy," the poem wrote: "Songs that inspire strong men can destroy the atmosphere of demons. Under the dirty east fence, Yuan Ming is not enough." It expresses that the poet did not learn from Tao Qian and passively avoided the world, but fought with the soldiers who suppressed the rebellion. Be in company and care about the righteous feelings of the people.
In the second year of Tang Shangyuan (761), Li Bai heard that Captain Li Guangbi led his troops to attack the Anshi rebels. Regardless of his 61-year-old age, he went to ask for a tassel to kill the enemy. He eventually returned due to illness and died in Anhui with hatred the following year. Paint.
Li Bai is a talented poet. His poetry is a kind of intellectual beauty and romantic beauty. His poems complemented the scenic spots of Yueyang, leaving a precious spiritual and cultural wealth to Yueyang.
