Shuangjing green tea is produced in Shuangjing Village, Xiushui County. The "Tea Book" written by Mao Wenxi of the Fifth Dynasty records: Hongzhou Shuangjing white buds are extremely finely produced. The famous poet Huang Tingjian of the Song Dynasty loved Shuangjing tea from his hometown very much. He often gave Shuangjing tea to his friends Ouyang Xiu, Su Dongpo, Sima Guang, etc., and wrote poems to praise it. Ouyang Xiu also praised it as the No. 1 herbal tea in the country in "Guitian Lu". Later, the quality of Shuangjing tea continued to improve. In 1985, it won the title of high-quality famous tea.

Shuangjing green tea has a history of thousands of years and is produced in Shuangjing Village, the hometown of Northern Song Dynasty poet Huang Tingjian and "Ten Miles of Beautiful Water" in Hangkou Township, Xiushui, Jiangxi. Xiushui belonged to Hongzhou in the Sui and Tang Dynasties. Mao Wenxi's "Tea Book" written in about 935 AD stated: "The white buds in Shuangjing in Hongzhou are extremely fine in production."
