In fact, this phenomenon is very common in classical poetry. Du Fu used it, and so did other poets. For example, Wang Zhihuan's "In the Lodge of the Heron" and the classic poem "The mountains cover the daytime, and the sea drains the golden river" are reversed. The original meaning of "the Yellow River enters the sea" is plain, but when it is changed to "harmony with the ocean to drain the golden river", there is a feeling of broad artistic conception.
In Liu Yuxi's works, he pursues the level and rhythm of poetry and consciously flashbacks poetry. In Liu Yuxi's classic nostalgic Tang poem "Stone City", there is "
Bai Juyi's Song of Eternal Sorrow also has such an example. "He stared at the desolate moon from his temporary palace, and he heard the bell in the late rain cutting his chest" because the syllable rhythm was reversed. When we used to recite ancient poems, it was easy to feel the change of rhythm, especially the seven-character ancient poems were mostly in the rhythm form of 223. "Walking in the palace-seeing the moon-sad color, the night rain-ringing the bell-heartbroken sound" originally expressed "the official sees the moonlight is sad, and the night rain rings the bell and heartbroken", which is too plain and not a mellow poetic language at all.
After inversion, such a poetic sentence has a sense of rhythm and melody.
In addition, in Wang Wei's works, "the laundry girl returns to the bamboo and the lotus leaves are harvested before the fishing boat" is also upside down. The normal order should be: because the lotus will move under the fishing boat, the bamboo will make trouble because of the return of the happy girl. However, after delicate inversion, it not only meets the requirements of rhythmic poetry, but also gives the artistic beauty of not seeing the person and hearing his voice first.
