Mr. Haifeng built a harmonious family through his self-cultivation, and he also had extraordinary experiences in the pursuit of art. Mr Haifeng is an all-around painter. In the early days, I studied oil painting in Shandong Institute of Art (now Shandong Institute of Art). I can do flowers and birds and landscapes. Why do I love peony and become famous for it?
First of all, he benefited from his profound understanding of peony culture. If you only pay attention to the elegance and liveliness of peony when appreciating and painting, you will inevitably get into the habit of "sweetness and vulgarity" when writing. In Mr. Haifeng's eyes, peony is the king of flowers, a personalized husband and the best carrier of gentleman's style advocated by Confucianism. Therefore, his studio is called Tianxiangzhai, and the poems often used in painting are: "Tianxiangzhai dyes clothes at night, and the national color is full of wine" (Li Zhengfeng), "Only peony is the true national color, and bloom will move its capital" (Liu Yuxi), "Hold high the glory of a Chinese odyssey to the west, and monopolize the best fragrance in the world" (Pi Rixiu), and "bloom's days will be settled in a gloomy mood. This is the peony in Mr. Haifeng's chest, the peony in his dream and the peony in the utopia. Therefore, the peony he wrote is a peony with humanity-the spirit of kings and the wind of gentlemen, and also a peony with the spirit and soul of divinity-flowers.
Secondly, thanks to his successful exploration of peony painting techniques. Mr. Pan Tianshou said: "Color is easy to be gorgeous, but not quaint, while ink is easy to be quaint and not vulgar. It is difficult to use color in ink. " How to do it in flower painting, especially peony painting: gorgeous without losing elegance, and elegance contains gorgeous. After decades of exploration, Mr. Haifeng realized the essence. He takes pen and ink as the bone and color as the clothing, and combines rich brushwork with clever use of water, ink and color, forming a simple, vigorous, gorgeous and lively fresh style. After the age of 60, Mr. Haifeng was not satisfied with his achievements, but also changed the habit of writing in the past, and concentrated on thinking and exploring China's flower-and-bird paintings from the height of China traditional culture.
