Freedom = ability-desire

In the book What's Possible in Your Life, I pay attention to many novel ideas, such as freedom = ability-desire is one of them.

Freedom is everyone's dream, but we live in an extremely cruel reality, and a series of pressures such as family, work and career are on us. In the eyes of ordinary people, few people enjoy the welfare of free space.

I want to go to Guilin, a song that I think everyone has heard. The lyrics in it are particularly vivid. "I want to go to Guilin, but I have money and no time. I want to go to Guilin, but if I have time, I will have no money ... "This shows that people in life have ideas and want to be free, but there are various obstacles.

One word that needs to be mentioned here is desire. Many people are crushed by life, in fact, because of desire. The classical teacher mentioned the argument in the book-

How free you are depends entirely on the space between your ability and desire. If a person wants to survive well, it depends on his ability, which is an intuitive embodiment of his survival, employment and creation. And one of his most important measures is his salary. Desire is just the energy brought by the ability to kill. The most important and obvious thing is the desire for material pursuit. Once this desire expands, the speed is amazing and it is difficult to control.

Improving the ability of addition can not be achieved in a short time, but the expansion of desire is much faster; If our ability is temporarily insufficient, we should control our desires and leave more room for our relative freedom, otherwise we will lose our freedom because of our ability and desire.

We call people who lose their freedom "slaves". When your desire is greater than your ability, you become a "slave" who sets a trap for yourself-brushing more than earning, which is called "card slave"; Driving a car that you can't afford is called a "car slave"; Living in a house that needs to go all out to repay the mortgage before the age of 45 is called a "house slave". Desire fetters itself.

Because the relationship between ability and desire is subtraction, it makes us want to increase our freedom. We must constantly enrich our brains, improve our ability, and control our inner desires to expand at any time.

As we all know, if a person enriches his mind and his inner world, he will naturally pay less attention to material things and will not stare at luxury goods all day like some nouveau riche. In that way, the pressure in all aspects will be reduced a lot, and he will realize his wishes more easily and his freedom will be improved. Why not have fun with this result?
