Appreciation of the whole poem:
This is a Yuefu poem. This poem takes care of the topic first, starting from the cold in the north. This is exactly what ancient Yuefu usually used. Sometimes, this opening has nothing to do with the theme, just as a kick-off. But this song "Popular in the North" is slightly different. It focuses on rendering the rain and snow in the north wind, not only for fun, but also for lyricism and theme contrast.
Li Bai is a romantic poet, who often makes use of myths and legends. "Candle dragon lives in the cold door, and its glory is still blooming" is a story quoted in "Huai Nan Zi Mu Xing Xun": "Candle dragon is in the north of Yanmen, built on the mountain of Yuwei, and can't see the sun, and the dragon body is insufficient." Gaoyou Note: "Dragon lanterns hold candles every month, covering thousands of miles, depending on day and night, winter and summer." Candle dragon lives in the far north, where there is no sunshine all the year round. Only Candle dragon's sigh distinguishes day and night from the four seasons, not the sun. It is just the shimmer of Candle dragon candles. Although the grotesque myth is not credible, the cold realm it shows has become a real and sensible artistic image under the association of readers. On this basis, the author further describes the scene that can show the characteristics of northern winter: "The sun and the moon are different, but the north wind is angry." Yanshan snowflakes are as big as seats, and pieces of them blow off XuanYuanTai. "These words are magnificent and the weather is extremely vigorous. There is no sun and moon, which not only inherits the first two sentences, but also sets off "only the north wind" and emphasizes the cold climate. " No Anger is about the wind, and Heaven is about the wind. This sentence extremely describes the north wind is cold. The description of snow is even more atmospheric, imaginative and wonderful, and it is worthy of being a famous sentence that has been passed down through the ages. The artistic image of poetry is the unity of the poet's subjective feelings and objective things. Li Bai is imaginative, passionate and free-spirited, so ordinary things are often unexpected and extraordinary. This is a feature of romanticism in his poems. Fortunately, these two poems are not only about scenery, but also about feelings. Li Bai also has two poems: "Thousands of snowflakes fall on Yao Tai, and the fragrance of spring breeze blows off one by one". Both of them write about snow with exaggeration, even with the same sentence pattern, but they have completely different feelings in the readers' hearts. One evokes a strong sense of spring, and the other exaggerates the arrogance of winter. Different artistic effects are due to the author's different feelings. The phrase "simulating snowflakes with seats" is imaginative, wonderful and vivid, which vividly describes the large and dense characteristics of snowflakes and the cold in the frontier. These two poems point out "Yanshan Mountain" and "Xuanyuantai", which refer to the vast area from northern China to Youyan, and lead to the following "Ode to Youzeus".
The author uses a series of actions such as "Stop singing", "Stop laughing", "Destroyed by two moths" and "Watch the pedestrians by leaning against the door" to describe the inner world of the characters, and creates a worried and worried woman image. This thoughtful woman remembered her husband from the passers-by in front of her; From the bleak scene here and now, I am worried about my husband who is far away from the Great Wall. There is no specific description of the Great Wall here, but the sentence "I miss you, the Great Wall is bitter and cold, which makes people think that it must be more bitter and cold than Youzhou, which makes Sifu don't worry. The bitter cold in Youzhou has been written to the extreme by the author, so the cold of the Great Wall is self-evident. The scenery in front laid the groundwork for the narrative lyric here, and the author's tailoring skills can also be seen here.
"Don't raise a sword to save the edge, leave this tiger and gold shovel", and "shovel" is the bag of arrows. These two sentences are about thinking about women and worrying about husbands, but there is no reason to see them because of the long journey. So we had to use her husband's arrow bag decorated with tiger stripes to pin our feelings and relieve our troubles. It is only here that the word "sword" is used to describe the heroic image of her husband who died for his country, which makes people feel sympathy for his unfortunate death later. Because her husband has been away from home for a long time, White Arrow has a cobweb dust knot. Seeing things and thinking about people is already sad, and what's more, "the arrow is not empty, and people will never return it today", which hurts people. "I can't bear to see this thing, but it will burn to ashes" vividly depicts the despair of thinking women who turn all kinds of sadness, hatred and troubles into extreme pain. Poetry seems to be over here, but the poet is more than a pen. He poured out his grief and indignation with thrilling poems: "The Yellow River can hold soil, and the north wind hates rain and snow." The Yellow River holds the soil is a classic, which is found in Zhufu Biography in the later Han Dynasty. It means that the Jin Meng Ferry on the Yellow River can't be blocked, so "when in Rome, do as the Romans do, never to return" can't be blocked. What is said here is that even if the Yellow River holds the earth, it is hard to give up the hatred of missing women, which clearly reflects the depth and breadth of a woman's thinking and her strong feelings of grief and indignation. The north wind roared, snowflakes fluttered all over the sky, and the bleak scene set off a tragic atmosphere more strongly. It not only takes care of the topic again, but also makes the structure more complete. More importantly, scenery and emotion blend harmoniously, making it almost impossible to tell which is scenery writing and which is lyrical. Think about how deep a woman's sorrow and resentment are, just like endless north wind, rain and snow. When this endless sadness continues! The endings of these two poems are both like a volcano spewing magma and a river breaking through a dike, which has a strong shock.
This poem successfully uses exaggeration. Ye Xie's "The Original Poetry" said that exaggeration is "nothing can happen, but it is the language of affection". In the poem, "Snowflakes in Yanshan Mountain are as big as seats" and "The Yellow River can hold the earth" are all things that can never happen in life, but what readers feel from it is the author's strong and true feelings. Although it will never happen, it becomes real and understandable, and receives stronger artistic effect than realism.
