The tranquility of rippling blue sea-a trip to cheung chau island

Cheung chau island: cheung chau island is one of the many outlying islands in Hong Kong. It is located to the east of Lantau Island in Hong Kong and faces Lantau Island and Lamma Island across the sea. From the map, the whole island is thin in the middle and big at both ends, which looks like dumbbells, so it is also called dumbbell island. On the day we went to Wan Li, the island was clear, the sea was blue, and houses hidden in the shade of trees could be seen in the distance. Fishing boats are rippling on the blue waves like a dynamic landscape painting.

Take a slow boat to Cheung Chau at Pier 5 in Central. In fact, the time difference between the slow boat and the fast boat is only half an hour. I won't tell you the fare. But taking a slow boat is much more comfortable than taking a fast boat, and if you sit by the porthole, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way. After nearly an hour's comfortable sailing, we arrived in cheung chau island at 1 1:00. Looking from a distance from the ship, I saw that the shore of the island was crowded with people, and cars were coming and going, which was very lively. Of course, the cars here are just bicycles. After disembarking, I saw a topographic map of cheung chau island erected on the shore, with recommended tour routes and estimated time.

Zhang Baozai Cave. Look at the map. This cave is located at the southernmost tip of the island. Walking along the seaside, you can see many car rental offices. I originally planned to rent a car to travel around the island, but my daughter's riding skills were really flattering. Cycling on the island is not allowed to carry people, so it will be difficult for tricycles to climb the hill. Only choose to walk. The owner of the car rental office also enthusiastically told us that it is not too far, but it takes more than 20 minutes to walk. It is also a good choice to watch the colorful ships moored on the shore and enjoy the scenery on foot.

Seafood in cheung chau island: As the saying goes, relying on mountains to eat mountains, relying on the sea to eat the sea. Cheung chau island is also famous for its seafood. There is a shrimp stand by the road. In fact, several streets near Changzhou Wharf are very busy, and it will be quiet if you go further inside.

Beauty lies in danger: although I was worried about not renting a car at first, it soon disappeared. Later, I was more grateful for it. The so-called beauty is born of worry. Even if you rent a bike, you should abandon the car and find a beautiful woman. Following the signpost, I finally found Zhang Baozai Cave. The scenery outside the cave is picturesque, but I found it was only a dark hole more than half a foot square. No wonder the couple in front only looked into the hole and turned back. Thanks to LG's foresight, he got a flashlight in advance. There is a ladder at the entrance of the cave. When I came to the end, I found it was really narrow, only one person could pass. There is a place where cats need to walk around their waist, and another place needs to pass sideways. Fortunately, the hole is not very long. I saw another ladder about ten meters away. The midday sun outside the cave shines brightly on the blue sea.

Jiyuwan and Wuxing Stone Scenic Area. If you want to go to Wuxing Stone from Zhangbaozai Cave, you need to go back to the original fork in the road and the next stone step road. Walk along the long beach, thinking that you can reach the Five Star Stone. Unexpectedly, there are many yellow-brown reefs at the end of the road, most of which are soaked in seawater due to high tide. If the tide doesn't rise, there is still a stone road. ) and the left side of the road is surrounded by barbed wire, and private territory is not allowed to enter. As the saying goes, "there is no doubt that there is another village." But the scene in front of me gives me the feeling that "although it is close at hand, it is out of reach." I just looked at it from a distance and took some photos.

Xiwan Tianhou Temple Scenic Area only photographed the inscriptions of Tianhou Pavilion and "Tianhou Pavilion". It is said that Changzhou used to be a fishing village, so the local residents worshipped the goddess of the sea. Tin Hau Temple in Xiwan is just one of many temples on the island. Due to the increasing incense, pavilions and bridges were built in front of the temple. I also want to shoot Tianhou Palace. But LG thinks it's better not to take photos of the temple, so as not to be suspected of disrespect.

This village, donated by the American and Canadian people, was built in 1968. Go all the way along Shanding Road West to Nan 'an Tianhou Palace Scenic Area. Along the way, it passes through Baiwei Bay, Cheung Chau Cemetery and Astronomical Cheung Chau Meteorological Station. There are few tourists on this road, probably because many people are discouraged by passing through the cemetery on the way.

Jade seal stone, this is the end of the Little Great Wall Scenic Area. It is faintly visible that the opposite is Dingling Island. "Since ancient times, no one has died in life, leaving Dan's heart to shine." It's still very sexy to sing until today. The ages have passed by, but the heroic deeds will go down in history forever. Along the way, the Little Great Wall Scenic Area is full of sea-watching rocks, with sixteen characteristic rocks, each with a name, and a poem, which is worth appreciating. It is said that those who can find all the strange stones will have good luck! The picture below shows a vase stone, with a poem saying: a half eagle is a vase, and the stone has two shapes. The bottle is secluded, and it is beautiful to talk about love. Of course, we didn't go down to explore the secluded spot, so as not to be surprised by the love in the cave.

Looking at Guanyin Bay and Dongwan Beach in the distance, the big disk that extends into the sea in the middle is where the helicopter landed. Take a close look at Guanyin Bay Beach. The sea is so blue that I can't help being fascinated by it. At that moment, I envied the people who lived on the island. They can live a quiet, leisurely, simple and natural life outside the noise. Enjoy the blue sea water and fresh air. Life is like this, what can a husband expect? We have been playing here for a long time and really don't want to leave. I just pressed the shutter as much as possible and treasured this beautiful scenery in my eternal memory. There are many snow-white shells on the beach. We picked some, many of which are alive.

Don't say goodbye to Guanyin Bay. Look at Dongwan Beach again. The same invincible seascape, the same intoxicating! I wonder if those tourists on the beach have the same idea as me?

Leave Dongwan Beach and follow the signs to the ferry terminal. There are many stalls selling seafood by the roadside. I have a huge fish ball in my hand. I can choose any flavor, two 10. There are also many snacks, mango glutinous rice, fresh mango, fried ice cream and eggs. Especially fried ice cream, left a deep impression on me. Buy now and fry now, also 10. Bite it down and feel ice and fire. It's hot outside and cold inside, and you can't forget it once you taste it.

Zhangji is a famous shop. You can see it not far from the ferry pier. Go right. There is also a "hometown teahouse" highly recommended by donkey friends. You can find it from the ferry terminal and walk to Dongwan Beach.

A traditional festival that you have to know when you come to cheung chau island is Taiping Tomb-Sweeping Day, also known as Baoshan Festival. The event is scheduled to be held from April 5 to 8 of the lunar calendar every year. Remember that cute McDull? One of his dreams is to be the champion of Baoshan. Although he didn't know why he robbed Baoshan, he said he loved his mother. In addition to robbing Baoshan, there is also a water scenery parade, which is also a highlight of the festival. The picture below shows a sail-shaped Baoshan monument. We stayed on the island for about 6 hours, but we haven't seen the scenery outside North Point Tsui. The sun is setting and we are on our way home. Watching the ferry on the dock shuttle between the outlying islands and Hong Kong Island, tourists come and go, and they come and go. Everyone has different purposes to go to the island and different memories to leave. However, what no one can take away is the natural tranquility of the island itself.

Note: central ferry piers took the first ferry to Cheung Chau. There are many flights, about every 15 to 30 minutes. Ordinary ferry classes, Monday to Saturday: adult 12.6 yuan, 6.3 yuan for the elderly, children and the disabled, Sunday and public holidays: adult 18.4 yuan, 9.2 yuan for the elderly, children and the disabled. If you want to go to Zhang Baozai Cave, you should prepare a flashlight. Friends who want to rent a bicycle to travel around the island can rent a car without disembarking. The last car rental point in the direction of Zhangbaozai Cave is cheaper, about 20 yuan for half a day. This guide is for reference only and should be based on the actual situation. Because some projects may be slightly adjusted due to seasonal changes. This strategy is my own personal experience, not the most perfect, for reference only.
