Architectural history of Guanghuamen Square
In the sense of realizing the dream of a strong cultural country in the spirit of creation and practice, a bronze statue of King Sejong with a height of 4.2M and a weight of 20 tons was erected on the pedestal of "North Korea Representative Square" in front of Sejong Cultural Center, and a permanent exhibition hall such as Sejong Story was set up. The "Civic City Cultural Square" located between Sejong Cultural Center and the bronze statue of General Li Shunchen is used as a display space for various activities such as fine arts and plastic arts. In order to provide convenience for the public, the park has set up facilities such as Ali pool, information desk and souvenir shop, as well as cultural spaces such as exhibition hall, sightseeing elevator and gathering place. On the "downtown square" formed around the bronze statue of General Li Shunchen, water spraying facilities such as movable fountain (around the bronze statue) and ground fountain (in front of the bronze statue) symbolizing Sejong Road and urban landscape center were set up. "Qingxichuan Connection" is located between the intersection of Sejong Road and Qingxi Square, and consists of a pedestrian line connecting Qingxichuan and Gyeongbokgung Palace.
