The northern Xinjiang north of the Tianshan Mountains has a different climate because it is affected by the Siberian warm and humid air flow. It will be humid and have more rainfall;

As for Southern Xinjiang south of the Tianshan Mountains, because of the obstruction of the Tianshan Mountains, the warm and moist airflow does not enter southern Xinjiang, so the climate is drier and the rainfall is less.

2. Differences in landscape characteristics

Due to climate differences, there will be great differences in landscapes. The climate in northern Xinjiang is humid, so a large number of forests and Grasslands, lakes and other natural landscapes, the more famous scenic spots are Kanas Lake and Ili Grassland;

The climate in Nanjing is relatively dry, so the natural landscapes are mostly deserts, plateaus, and Populus euphratica. There are also religious sites and ancient city beacons left over from the Silk Road more than a thousand years ago. It can be said that the landscape in northern Xinjiang is dominated by natural landscape, while the landscape in southern Xinjiang is a combination of natural landscape and cultural landscape.

3. Differences in tourism methods

The natural landscapes in northern Xinjiang are Kanas Lake and Ili Grassland, so tourism will be developed earlier and will be relatively mature and perfect. All modes of transportation are very convenient. Airplanes, trains, and highways all have direct access to scenic spots, so group tours and self-guided tours are more convenient;

Southern Xinjiang was developed later, so it lags behind northern Xinjiang, except for Kashgar Group tour products in the region (groups can be shipped every day from the 2nd to the 6th, but there are basically no Sac and group tour products in other places.

1. Climate

When traveling in northern Xinjiang, you should prepare clothes for all seasons. The temperature difference between day and night is relatively large in Kanas Scenic Area and Bayinbulak Grassland, and there is more rainfall. Sometimes it rains or even snows. Therefore, as the climate changes, the temperature will drop. Sometimes it is only seven or eight degrees at night, and it will be very hot when the sun comes out during the day, so you need to prepare summer clothes and a thick coat when traveling in northern Xinjiang.

The climate in southern Xinjiang is drier, and the temperature in summer is relatively stable. The temperature during the day is around 30 degrees and at night around 20 degrees. The climate in the scenic area does not change much. Except for the high altitude of Khunjerab Port, the temperature will be relatively low. There is no problem in wearing summer clothes in other places.

2. Language

Northern Xinjiang is more of a grassland ethnic group. Because tourism developed early, the reception here is poor. They have a strong awareness of Chinese and can communicate normally. However, southern Xinjiang is dominated by Uighurs, and most of them do not understand Chinese and cannot understand or speak.
