Qu Yuan (about 34- 278 BC) was a great patriotic poet in ancient China. Han nationality, born in Danyang, Chu State, is named Ping, with the original word. During the Warring States Period, Chu was born into a noble family, and served as a doctor and a disciple of San Lv, who was also in charge of domestic and foreign affairs. In 278 BC, Qin general Bai Qi broke the capital of Chu in one fell swoop. Qu Yuan, who was worried about his country and people, committed suicide in Huaishi, Guluo River near Changsha.
