3. Conductivity: According to GIA's report, 80% of Mosanite is an electrical conductor (only blue and blue-gray IIb diamonds in natural diamonds have conductivity). Common white/light yellow diamonds are not conductive, so diamonds can be distinguished from mosan by conductivity meter or mosan instrument.
4. Refractive index: Mo Sanshi's refractive index is different from that of diamond, and its reflective characteristics are also different from that of diamond, which can be distinguished by experienced diamond appraisers; In addition, Mosang stone has birefringence, and it is not difficult to see the ghost of Mosang stone ridge and bottom tip by careful observation. 5. Biaxial optical characteristics: Due to the biaxial optical characteristics of kyanite, the observation of its ghost characteristics depends on the observation angle. When viewed from the main surface of the countertop, the ghost image is obvious. Although the ghosting will be reduced when the mesa is perpendicular to the C axis of Mosanite crystal axis, the reflected ghosting of mesa and crown can still be seen when focusing on the bottom tip, which is completely different from the crown reflection of single refraction diamond.
