Let yourself go and reconcile with yourself

Sometimes, it is harder to forgive yourself than to forgive others. True forgiveness is when we come to terms with our inner selves.

In the third year of Yuanfeng, Su Shi was demoted to the deputy envoy of Huangzhou League Training due to the "Wutai Poetry Case" and suffered the biggest setback in his life.

Su Shi, who was demoted to Huangzhou, had a low official position, was monitored day and night, and had a low income, barely able to support his family.

Su Shi was disheartened and once wrote: I always regret that this body is not mine, when will I forget Yingying?

He hates himself. I hate that I have empty ambitions, but because of a momentary gaffe, I missed the opportunity to display them; I hate that I have hurt my family and friends because of my outspoken words; I also hate that I am in the mountains and rivers, but I can't calm down and cultivate my nature, and I always care about fame and fortune.

Being exiled to the green mountains and green waters, this regret and entanglement burned his heart all the time.

He often got so drunk that he fell unconscious and could barely relieve his sadness.

Later, until I met Chibi, saw the ancient battlefield, and saw the great achievements of the ancients being laughed at, I finally felt relieved, forgave myself, and accepted my situation.

He plowed the fields with the farmers and sang his own adapted poems by beating the horns of cows with branches. He relied on his own knowledge to improve farm tools and protect people from diseases.

He is no longer tormented in his heart, and re-perceives the beauty of "the taste of the world is pure joy", and blooms his own value.

It is written in "Four Lessons from Liaofan": "Everything in the past is like dying yesterday, and everything in the future is like being born today."

In this world, "nine out of ten things in life are not what you want." "Let the past things, whether good or bad, stay yesterday. For the rest of your life, don’t suffer from regretful past events.

Let yourself go, reconcile with yourself, and bravely embrace the future. There is still new hope and infinite possibilities ahead.
