In order to maintain their own rule, crack down on dissidents and suppress ideas and speeches that are not conducive to their rule, the Qing emperor Daxing Wenzi Prison created some cases in which speeches were convicted.
The literary inquisition in the Qing Dynasty was unprecedented and deepened with the stability of the rule. The more stable the rules are, the more they reach the peak. In the Qianlong period, it was impossible to strengthen, and the traditional culture of China was distorted.
There are roughly three situations in the literary inquisition in Qing Dynasty:
(1) The ancestors of the Qing Dynasty had surrendered to the Ming Dynasty, and they were hit by officials and obeyed their command. After the Qing court entered the Central Plains, it kept this historical event secret. Therefore, it not only cuts down and bans old historical books, but also indiscriminately punishes those who continue to compile or even collect them for the crime of "great transgression". ② The anti-Qing thought in the early Qing Dynasty could not be eliminated for a long time, especially the Han scholar-officials attached to the old Ming Dynasty and preached the thought of "preventing summer", which was extremely unfavorable to consolidating the rule of the Qing court. In order to strengthen the feudal autocratic rule of Manchu nobles, anti-Qing thoughts must be attacked by violence. (3) On the occasion of Kang Yong, the power struggle between the royal families in the Qing Dynasty was unprecedentedly intensified, which was called the official position struggle in history. After Yong Zhengdi acceded to the throne, in order to consolidate the victory, in addition to killing the king who seized power, he also used the literary inquisition to crack down on the forces attached to the king party.
The essence of the literary inquisition is the product of the feudal autocratic dynasty, which is keen on the autocratic imperial power. The cruel price of banning books not only caused countless innocent deaths, but also became a profound disaster for the Chinese nation, which can be described as a catastrophe through the ages! Due to the backward social development, China has been in a passive position in the world for a long time since the Opium War. A Dream of Red Mansions, an encyclopedia of the last days of feudalism, profoundly reveals and reflects the so-called "prosperous times of kanggan". During the long reign of those emperors, the Confucian orthodoxy of consolidating the feudal small-scale peasant economy, suppressing commodity production and completely closing the country became the standard of the imperial court. From the social atmosphere, ideological outlook, conceptual psychology to the cultural field, this serious retrogression transaction is quite clear! A Dream of Red Mansions reveals the inner decay of "the inner capsule has also come up". What we see is this kind of erosion, meanness and decay outside the golden jade, and "the fog of sadness covers Hualin".
