What are the four sentences realized by Buddhism?

The four sentences realized by Dharma's face wall are: there is breathing outside, there is no breathing inside, and the heart is like a face wall, so you can enter the Tao.

Master Dharma is the founder of Zen Buddhism in China. The foundation is not only the establishment of a sect, but also the difference between this sect and another sect. He has his own ideological purpose and practice methods. Master Dharma wrote an article in French, which specifically expounded the method of entering Zen Buddhism, namely, A Brief Analysis of Four Lines of Mahayana Entering the Tao, also called A Brief Analysis of Four Lines of Mahayana Entering the Tao and Four Lines of Mahayana Entering the Tao.

The Zen method he taught was "two into four lines". "Second entry" means rational entry and line entry, and "four lines" means complaining, following fate, doing nothing and calling the law. This is the basic content of Dharma Master Zen.

The so-called "look at the wall when you are at ease." Father Dharma has been facing the wall in Songshan Mountain for nine years, and his peace of mind is facing the wall. The second phrase is called "Ruofa" and "Ruofa four lines". The third formula is called "go with the flow", "go with the flow, and you will be free from ridicule". The fourth formula is "if it is convenient" and "if it is convenient, you can't send it away".

I think these four sentences are very important. They are not only the true biography of Dharma Master, but also the source of all Zen methods since Dharma. At that time, when Master Lin Tan was writing this preface, he thought that this was the true Tao advocated by Master Dharma, and the true Tao was these four formulas. We can simply analyze how Master Dharma taught us to enter Zen from these four formulas.

First of all, say, "If you are comfortable, you are indifferent." Master Guifeng Zongmi's Preface to the Collection of Zen Sources in the Tang Dynasty summed up Dharma's Zen theory that "observing the wall teaches people peace of mind".

The wall view includes four points: "There is no breath outside, the heart is like a wall, and you can enter the Tao." If we want inner peace, we must make our heart a wall. This wall is not an earth wall, nor a mud wall, but an iron wall. Even flies and mosquitoes can't get in, and no bacteria can corrode. Like this, the heart is like a wall. To protect this heart like a city wall, no dusty delusion and worldly material desires can erode it.
