How to implement this concept concretely, Mr. Wang put forward four sentences, which should be the principles we should follow in guiding students to read: 1. Teachers' attitude towards children's reading is support, not domination. 2. Not to pursue the effect of reading, but to cultivate the interest in reading. 3. Children's reading experience and strategies are not taught, but read. 4. The evaluation of children's reading is not a moment, but a lifetime.
These four points are particularly well pointed out and timely, which corrects many teachers' wrong ideas and practices in children's extracurricular reading guidance. Most teachers around me, including myself, regard reading as a task, and limit the goal of reading to getting high marks in exams and improving writing ability. As a result, students study for tasks and exams. Due to the lack of heartfelt yearning and love for books, this kind of reading can't even promote their spiritual development and life growth, and even continuous reading can't be done.
Teacher Wang's lecture made me reflect.
Now I realize that my original idea was too narrow and utilitarian, and what I did was even more contrary to my original intention. Haste makes waste. I'm glad to hear Mr. Wang Wenli's speech.
Under the guidance of Mr. Wang, I started from the following two aspects.
First of all, I want reading to return to its true colors, get rid of utilitarian heart, pay attention to stimulation and awakening, interest cultivation, communication and sharing in specific operations. Reading is more about communication, and you can't replace all students' knowledge with your own knowledge. Students are not required to follow the rules and skills, but to read by themselves, and then to communicate and think after reading. These are the most important.
Secondly, I have to see for myself. I've always wanted to cultivate students' reading ability, but I'm just thinking and not doing enough in action. To say that I have read children's books, there are about a dozen books, perhaps not as many as some students. This is really a pity. I haven't read many of the books mentioned by teacher Wang in the lecture. The books I have studied carefully include Flying Classroom, Pinocchio, The Wizard of Oz and My Dad. The books I used to read by myself and the books that students were required to read were very narrow, limited to literary books. In fact, students read more books, have wider horizons and have wider hobbies. I can't replace students' preferences with my own. From now on, I will start reading in a planned way according to the new compulsory reading list for primary school students issued by the Ministry of Education. Teachers must read books that guide students to read, otherwise it is difficult to achieve real communication with students. This sentence makes sense.
I have done the above two things. I believe that the basic reading strategies of teachers and students will naturally be understood and mastered in the process of reading and doing. In fact, what is difficult is not the method, but the correction of this heart and the enrichment of its own accumulation, which need to be tested by temptation, polished by time, confidence, love, patience and perseverance. It is easy to do superficial work of one thing at a time, but it is difficult to do obscure work.
Stick to our original wishes and remember our mission. In the matter of reading, it is really necessary to have the realm and feelings of "reading to taste is pure happiness" to do well. If you do well, both you and your students will benefit.
