Buddhism was introduced to my country from India around the 10th century BC. White Horse Temple has always been considered the birthplace of Buddhism in my country. This poem is about the purity of the six roots advocated by Buddhism. After Buddhism was introduced to China, it brought together the national culture with Chinese characteristics and formed three major systems. Now Buddhism has been deeply rooted in China, and some people have escaped into Buddhism and started practicing Buddhism. In our country, practitioners are not allowed to drink alcohol and eat meat, but it is completely different in Japan. There is a 96-year-old Japanese nun who actually eats meat, drinks alcohol, and is addicted to male sex. This tough life needs no explanation at all.
Setouchi Shanting was born in 1922. Her family was well off when she was a child. Later, she was admitted to Tokyo Women's University, married a Japanese scholar, and gave birth to a daughter. In 1946, the family came to Tokushima, Japan, but her husband went to Tokyo. As a result, the couple spent less time together and more time apart. Setouchi felt very lonely at home. During this period, she actually fell in love with other men.
It is reported that this man is a student of Setouchi's husband, named Kinoshita Yinhiko. The spark of love between the two burned fiercely. Setouchi decided to run away with the young man regardless of all odds. However, the other party abandoned Setouchi and married another woman. This made Setouchi hurt. After hearing this, I decided to use words to talk to everyone.
After that, Setouchi met another novelist. Although the other person had a wife, the two secretly stayed together for 8 years. During this period, Setouchi had other lovers, and published "Women's Great Love, Qu Ailing" in 1956. This work reflected the awakening of female consciousness. Once this book was released, it aroused widespread discussion in society. . Setouchi Shantei was also awarded the "Female Liuliter Scholar" in 1963. At this time, Setouchi Jingting reunited with Kinoshita Yoshihiko, and they reconciled, but in the end they failed to get a good result.
It took 14 years for Setouchi to become a sincere person, so he chose to become a monk in 1973. At this time, Setouchi finally understood that instead of relying on others to obtain happiness, he decided to become a monk. It is better to listen to your inner voice. So Setouchi chose to have a dialogue with himself and began to create again in 1992. This creation enabled Setouchi to transcend herself, and her "The Tale of Genji" stirred up waves with one stone.
Setouchi Shanting has been free-spirited and free-spirited throughout his life. Even though he is now 98 years old, he is still very open-minded. Unlike other monks, Setouchi drank heavily and ate meat, and did not shy away from talking about his past love history. This is the free and easy life of Setouchi Ji Ting. At this point, everyone feels that a strong life requires no explanation at all.
The most important thing in Buddhism is to understand oneself. Although there are many doubting voices around us, looking back, we find that: everything is the past after all. We can only face our own hearts and face everything calmly. , Only then can one be transcendent and achieve the purpose of practice. In the past, Setouchi was disturbed by troubles, but after escaping into Buddhism, she was able to face her heart and face the past calmly. This was the success of her practice.
Nowadays, the reason why many people yearn for the Buddhist land is because everyone is too busy in the world of mortals and keeps moving forward every day, eventually exhausting themselves physically and mentally. Instead of blindly seeking sustenance, it is better to face yourself directly. Only by finding inner peace is the greatest cultivation. The Western Paradise that Buddhism pursues is also based on self-esteem. Only if we are not afraid of criticism from the outside world is the meaning of practice.
"Bodhi can only be found in the heart, so why bother seeking mysteries from outside? I heard that if you practice according to this, the West is only now!" - Huineng's "Bodhi Ye"
6 Roots Although there are only six short words for purity, few people can understand it. In life, we have to face too many people and things, and it is difficult to truly be ourselves. Buddhism gives us a quiet spiritual world, so it makes our hearts infinite yearning.
In fact, too many people are living unhappy lives nowadays and often feel that they are suppressed and suffering. In fact, they want too much. Sometimes, the more things you think about, the more troubles you will bring to yourself. True practice has always been about giving up distracting thoughts and being oneself. Even though many people criticize the Master's life, what she pursues throughout her life is freedom.
After reading the story told by Setouchi Shitina, our hearts couldn’t help but become brighter. Indeed, we face too much pressure in real life, so how to release our hearts and seek tranquility is the focus of practice. Maybe we can't let go of everything, but we can face our own hearts. True happiness is given by oneself, not by external gifts.
