Xintianyou is a kind of folk song with simple, high-pitched and long tune and free rhythm. Lyrics are generally composed of two phrases, the short ones are only two lines, and the long ones are hundreds of lines. It is the essence of folk songs in northern Shaanxi, with two sentences and one section, rhyming from top to bottom and changeable rhyme feet. The two sentences are in tune, combined with lyrical narration, using contrast method. The first sentence describes the scenery, and the second sentence points out the will, which is full of lyrical charm, one virtual and one real, and the scene is mixed and full of earthy atmosphere.
Words are simple in structure, straightforward in expression, free to change, clever in metaphor, profound in meaning, easy to understand and remember, and catchy. It is the crystallization of the spiritual thought and emotional life of the trilateral people and the most direct reflection of life. There are six kinds of tunes, such as folk songs, wine songs, yangko, minor, labor songs and sour songs, which are divided into two categories according to the times: traditional songs and Xinmin songs. In terms of expression, praise, resentment and love are all vented in two forms: narrative and lyric.
Inheritance of Xintianyou
Natural inheritance: the rhythm is natural, the melody is unrestrained, exciting and thrilling, showing the natural landscape and social features, so that the trilateral people will not get carried away and lose heart.
