[Notes] (1) Grits [pronounced "stretch"]: grains ground into grains. (2) Point: embellishment. Qingqian: Copper coin.
[Translation] The fragments of poplar flowers falling on the path are like spread out white felt, and the young lotus dotted on the stream are stacked one on top of another like bronze coins. No one has paid attention to the tender bamboo shoots that have just sprouted from the ground next to the bamboo shoots in the bamboo forest. The newly hatched water duck is sleeping sweetly next to the mother duck on the beach.
From this poem, we can see the author's lingering appreciation for the wonderful natural scenery in early summer when he was walking among the woods and streams. However, in the quietness, the author felt like a guest in a foreign place.
