What is the artistic image of Qian Shangfu in the poem?

Qian Shangfu is a very rational person, although he is a soldier. However, he started from the lower level step by step and became a tyrant who ruled the two Zhejiang provinces, and he had high political wisdom.

"Offering Money to Honor My Father" was written by Guan Xiu, a poet in the late Tang Dynasty. Guan Xiu later entered Zhejiang Province to avoid the Huangchao Rebellion and wrote this poem while living in Lingyin Temple in Hangzhou. It is said that when Qian Liu was proclaimed King of Wu and Yue, Guan Xiu dedicated this poem to Qian Liu, the King of Wu and Yue, in order to seek an audience with him.

Original text of the poem "Complete Poems of the Tang Dynasty":

Offer money to honor the father

You are forced to come without freedom, and the dragon and the phoenix are difficult to control.

Three thousand guests were drunk with flowers in the hall, and fourteen states were frosty with one sword.

The drums and horns lift the sky, the air is cold, and the wind stirs the sea and mountains in autumn.

The southeast will always be a golden pillar. Who would envy the thousands of princes at that time?

Translation:

Wealth comes to people and there is nothing they can do about it. If a person works hard, his achievements cannot be stopped.

The fragrance of flowers in the hall intoxicated countless guests, and a sharp sword swept across two Zhejiang and fourteen states.

The sound of war drums and horns rushed into the sky, making the air in the sky become cold, and the wind and waves swept in, making the world seem to have entered autumn.

With control of this southeastern land as the pillar of auspicious celestial phenomena, who would still envy the ten thousand households in the old days.

Related allusions:

It is said that this poem was written by Guan Xiu, a poet monk in the late Tang Dynasty. Guan Xiu came to Yue to avoid the chaos in Huangchao, and dedicated this poem to Qian Liu, the king of Wu and Yue, for an audience. When Qian Liu saw this poem, he admired it greatly, but he felt that the sentence "One sword frost-cold fourteen states" was not powerful enough to reflect his lofty ambition, so he asked Guan Xiu to change "fourteen states" to "forty states". Only then did I consider meeting him. When Guanxiu heard about it, he recited four lines of a poem and replied to him. After reciting it, he drifted into Shu and was never heard from again.

If you don’t envy the glory and fear the power, it will be difficult to change the name of Tianzhou.

There are no permanent residences in the idle clouds and wild cranes. Where can the rivers and the sky not fly?
