The arrangement of four tones and five tones is really only suitable for ancient poetry before Sui and Tang Dynasties. Because the four tones are based on different dialects and the five tones are based on different modes, it is an elegant cultural interest for ancient literati to read and recite poems smoothly with the original words as the blueprint and the four tones of Chinese characters combined with the ancient five tones.
