Characteristics of free verse

Freedom of language, syllable rhythm and style.

1. Freedom of language: Free verse breaks the rigid and trite language of classical Chinese, uses vernacular and common sayings, pursues simple and friendly expressions close to common spoken language, and abandons the tedious and tedious cliches of classical Chinese.

2. Freedom of syllable rhythm: Free verse is not limited by the rhyme and meter of old-style poetry, not rigidly adhered to the traditional rhyme rules, but pays attention to harmony with natural music and is not bound by rhyme.

3. Freedom of style: Free verse pursues an unrestrained and free expression, free from the constraints of rhythm and rhyme, and can pour out inner feelings without scruple. Poetry can be arranged without rhyme, and even the lines in the section can be arranged at will according to the content of the work.
