What is the main thread that runs through Du Fu's full text?

Gordon Dufu

The wind is fast and high, the ape cries sadly, and the birds are circling in the white sand.

The endless trees are rustling leaves, and the Yangtze River is rolling unpredictably.

Li in the sad autumn scenery, a wanderer all the year round, lives alone on the high platform in today's illness.

After all the hardships and hatred, the white hair is full, and the wine glasses are damaged.

(The following is completely original! )

The clue that runs through this poem is "sadness". The first antithetical couplet lays the sad tone of the whole poem with very lens-like verses, including looking up (the wind is high and the sky is high) and looking down (the sky is clear and the sand is white), color (innocence), sound (the wind is sharp and the apes are whistling), wide angle (the sky is high and the sky is clear and the sand is white) and close-up (the birds fly back). A few strokes make people feel immersive. On this basis, Zhuan Lian focused on the fallen trees and the Yangtze River with a large close-up, pointing out its "boundless" and "inexhaustible" shapes and its "rustling" and "rolling" spirit, which further strengthened the sense of depression and openness.

The image of the poet appeared with the turn of the pen of the neck couplet, and the reason of "sadness" in the previous article has a clue. And these fourteen words have created the famous "ten worries" in the history of poetry. People in "Autumn" are sad. The more sad they are, the more sad they are when they are thousands of miles away. Being a guest is very sad, and being a frequent visitor is even more sad. There are five sorrows in the last sentence. By the same token, the words "sick", "sick" and "hundred years" in the next sentence (referring to the poet's over half a century, exaggeratedly speaking, a hundred years) are sick, and "coming to power" and "being alone" are double sorrows. Fourteen words have ten sorrows. The topic of "sadness" was written in Lao Du's sentence, which was the pinnacle.

Many of Lao Du's poems are full-text, or strongly exaggerated, and finally point out the reasons for sadness, which makes people feel sad. This is different. The first triple was heavy, but the tail was not released. The poet didn't rise up like the last "There are thousands of houses in peace" in the autumn wind breaking the thatched cottage, and even didn't vent his anger like "There are wars and mountains in the north of this wall, how can you not cry when there are railings here?" At the end of "The Story of Dengyueyang Tower", he just thought of the sideburns on his face and stopped his glass. But this ending is even more shocking, because the endless topic in Lao Du Fu's poems is worrying about the country and the people, which no longer needs to be pointed out, but what kind of responsibility it is to swallow infinite bitterness. More likely, the poet himself can't bear it, and his wailing is powerless.

Therefore, the main line running through this poem is "sadness", which is the multiple sadness of family and national life and is consistent with the consistent theme of Lao Du's poems.
