[Li Bai]
Old friends frequently waved to me, bid farewell to the Yellow Crane Tower, and traveled to Yangzhou in this beautiful spring filled with catkins and flowers.
Sailing alone in the blue sky, I can see the Yangtze River flowing in the sky.
[Note] (1) 1: Go. Guangling: Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province today. The title of the poem is "Farewell to Meng Haoran on the way to Yangzhou by the Yellow Crane Tower". (2) Old friend: refers to Meng Haoran. Western Ci: Because the Yellow Crane Tower is in the west of Guangling and Meng Haoran is from west to east, it is called "Western Ci". (3) Fireworks: refers to the gorgeous scenery in late spring. Downstream: Downstream to the east. (4) Blue sky: a "blue mountain". Lu You said in Shu Zhongyun: "On August 28th, I visited the former site of the Yellow Crane Tower, and Taibai boarded this building to give Meng Haoran a poem,' The lonely sail reflects the blue mountains in the distance, but I can only see the long river flowing in the sky.' The mountains are particularly impressive when you overlook the sails, which you didn't know until you stayed on the river for a long time. (5) sky flow: flowing to the horizon.
This is a poem to send a friend on a long journey, but it expresses rich and colorful emotions, the most important of which is naturally the reluctant memory of a friend. The first two sentences of this poem describe the place, time and place of farewell. The second sentence, fireworks in March, gives people a beautiful scene of misty flowers. Yangzhou is the third largest city in the Tang Dynasty and a scenic spot in the southeast. There are countless garden buildings inside and outside the city, including Twenty-four Bridges, daming temple, Slender West Lake, Taohuawu, Xiaojinshan and Diaoyutai. As the saying goes, "the rich and the rich can ride donkeys to Yangzhou", which shows its strong attraction to literati. Then Li Bai really went to Yangzhou. Of course, he also wrote about the poet's loneliness caused by his friend's departure, which can be seen from the third sentence, "Sailing alone, the sky is empty." The poet clearly wrote that the river was blue and the sky disappeared in a distant boat, but he actually wrote the blank in his heart caused by the loss of friends. This is an emotionless image. The metonymy of the first sentence is also very distinctive. Li Bai did not talk about his old friend "talking about Wuchang in the west", but replaced it with "Yellow Crane Tower", which can first increase the image beauty of the poem and highlight the beautiful scenery of Wuchang, thus adding a style to Meng Haoran's "Indulge in Mountains and Rivers", which is really a stroke of genius. Li Bai's poems won the admiration of later poets. Lu You, a poet in the Song Dynasty, wrote in the Book of Entering Shu: "On August 28th, I visited the former site of the Yellow Crane Tower. Taibai boarded the building and took it to the hospital. Haoran's poem said,' A lone sail reflects the blue mountains in the distance, and you can see the Yangtze River flowing in the sky'. The sail is reflected in the distant mountains, which is particularly moving and can't be known for a long time. " Seeing my friends off in the beautiful scenery is really a special taste in my heart. The beauty is pleasing to the eye, but parting is sad. Profound and implicit, just like moral, it has achieved the artistic effect of fascination and daydreaming.
