1. After Wang Anshi's second strike in the ninth year of Ning (1076), he was disheartened, gave up his painstaking political reform and retreated to Zhongshan. In this difficult situation and lonely state, I wrote this song Plum Blossom: There are several plum blossoms in the corner, and hanling is alone. I knew from a distance that it wasn't snow, because there was a smell coming.
Nine times out of ten, life is unsatisfactory, so this poem writes about many people's feelings. Most of us are lonely, and scenery and happiness are often fleeting. Keep the right attitude. No matter what kind of hard conditions, we should be able to "stand alone" and exude our own "fragrance" without losing confidence in life.
