Leshan Giant Buddha was unearthed in the early years of Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty (AD 7 13). Haitong, a famous monk in Lingyun Temple, was very upset, so he initiated the idea of building a giant Buddha, letting stones fall into the river to slow down the water potential, and borrowed it. After Haitong's death, Wei Gao, the envoy of Jiannan and western Sichuan, recruited craftsmen and continued to dig, and the court also granted salt and hemp tax as support. The 90-year-old Buddha statue is finally finished.

Two people can stand side by side in the ear, with an instep width of 8.5 meters, and can sit 100 people. Known as "Buddha is a mountain, and the mountain is a Buddha".
