Rambo is a French poet. Born in Xavier. A great French symbolist poet in the 19th century. In September, Rambo met Paul, a symbolic poet. Wei Erlun, two people wandering together in Belgium and England. 1875 years later, Rambo retired from poetry and devoted himself to the career of adventurers and traveled around Europe. Rambo's creative career is only over five years, but his great influence on the development of modernist poetry is rare in the history of world poetry.
By chance, I read Rambo's The Man Sleeping in the Ditch. At first, I just watched it all the way and didn't feel anything special. But the poet's last stroke, such as breaking the ground, made me read and read this poem, deeply moved. Let me expose the nose led by the poet to everyone and feel the beautiful moment when the soul is caught.
Sleepers in the valley
This is a green cave, the singing river hangs silver rags among the grass, and the sun shines on the proud hills. This is an empty valley covered with moss.
A young soldier, with his mouth open, his head bare, his neck soaked in the new green of blue mustard grass, lying in the grass covered by the sky, sleeping pale in a big green bed with tears in the sun.
He put his foot into the orchid and fell asleep.
Laughing like a sick baby, he felt cold, so nature shook him with warm arms.
The smell can no longer make his nostrils tremble. He slept peacefully in the sun, covered his heart with his hand, and there were two red bullet holes in his right rib.
In the first part, the poet mainly describes a picture of a valley. The technique used is also very general, which is the traditional personification. But the poet's uniqueness lies in his strange words: "A singing river hangs silver rags in the grass". The juxtaposition of "singing" and "rags" cannot but be called adventure. And a word "hanging" suddenly makes the river smart.
The second section, the third section, focuses on the "sleeper"-a young soldier. The second section mainly uses the technique of line drawing. The sentence "He is lying in the grass that covers the sun" is very atmospheric and implies the image of a soldier's stalwart. "The sun is crying" is another strange trick of the poet, and the reverse thinking is refreshing. The third section mainly uses anthropomorphic techniques, such as "laughing like a sick charming child", highlighting the young and lovely soldiers. After reading this, I still have no special feeling.
But in the fourth season, the phrase "fragrance can no longer shake his nostrils" suddenly raised my heart. I can no longer swallow it slowly with a calm heart. "He slept peacefully in the sun, covering his heart with his hand, and there were two red bullet holes in his right rib", but it exploded like a blockbuster, making it difficult for me to be complete again! And caused me to think further: nature is so beautiful, young life is so beautiful, and war, war, what has brought to people?
In a word, this poem is a surprise in conception. First, it paved a valley, then let the lovely young soldiers walk all the way, and finally it gave people a surprise blow, which really surprised the readers! At the same time, it also inspired the poet deeply. In terms of language, this strange and dangerous usage is also worth learning by poets.
This reminds me of a short poem "White Swan" by Shandong poet Zhu Zhu. The content is roughly like this: "The wave on the left \ the wave on the right \ is a little red in the middle \ and it is a gunshot wound", which gave me a great shock at that time. But after reading Rambo's Sleeper in the Valley, I seem to find the relationship between them. I also admire Zhu Zhu's superb reference!
I once joked with my poetry friends: "My first criterion for judging poetry is that whoever can wake up people who love to doze off is a good poem." According to this standard, Rambo's Sleeper in the Valley and Zhu Zhu's White Swan belong to this category.
