A brief introduction to the development of Guqin art during the Han, Wei and Six Dynasties

The Han, Wei and Six Dynasties were important periods for the development of guqin art. By the Han Dynasty, the shape of the guqin was basically determined, from unfixed strings to seven strings, and relatively complete sound boxes and phonetic symbols appeared. Qin Hui, as well as a large number of instrumental music, Qin Fu, Qin praise, Qin theory, etc. were published. Cai Yong of the Eastern Han Dynasty made the famous Qin "Jiaowei" from a piece of fine paulownia wood rescued from the fire. It is the same as the famous Qin "Haozhong" of the Zhou Dynasty, the famous Qin "Rao Liang" of King Zhuang of Chu and the famous "Green Qin" of Sima Xiangru. "Qi" is collectively known as the four famous ancient Chinese harps. "Sou Shen Ji" says, "Some people in Wu burned tung trees for cooking. Cai Yong heard the explosion and said: 'This is a good tung tree. I asked for it and cut it into a qin, but it couldn't be burned. It was named Fuwei Qin." "Shu Sheng Yan" records this guqin story. During the Wei, Jin and Six Dynasties, a large number of prominent figures in the history of Qin appeared, such as Du Kui, Fu Xian, Ruan Ji, Ji Kang, Liu Kun, Tao Hong and Tao Yuanming. Among them, Ji Kang was especially famous. He not only wrote "Qin Fu" but also created The "Ji's Four Nongs", "Chang Qing", "Duan Qing", "Chang Side", "Duan Side", and even "Guang Ling San" will be famous for later generations.
