Wang Wei (70 1-76 1) was born in Qixian county, Shanxi province. His father moved to Zhou Pu (now yongji city, Shanxi province) and he was from Hedong. Shi Fo was an idyllic poet and painter in the prosperous Tang Dynasty, with more than 400 poems. Important poems include Acacia and Autumn Night in the Mountain. Wang Wei is proficient in Buddhism. There is a Vimalakīrti Sutra in Buddhism, which was taught by Bodhisattva Vimalachi. Wang Wei admired Vimalakīrti so much that he named himself "Wei" and "Momo".
