The rock paintings discovered in Cangyuan area since 1965 are closely related to the historical customs of the Wa people, although it is not certain that they were created by the Wa ancestors. There are 10 rock paintings * *, which are concentrated in the mid-levels of Mengsheng River Basin and dozens of miles in Fiona Fang. A picture of a village in a rock painting is similar to the structure and distribution of villages in the central area of Awa Mountain in the 1950s, with a history of about 3,000 years.
