Li Bai was just about to leave when he heard a farewell song from the shore.
Even if the Peach Blossom Pond is deep, it is not as deep as Wang Lun's sending away my love.
Translation:
I was going on a long trip by boat when I suddenly heard someone singing and seeing me off. Although the Peach Blossom Lake is deep in thousands of feet, it is not as deep as the friendship sent by Wang Lun.

In 755 AD, Li Bai left Chang 'an for ten years because of being excluded. Wherever he went, he made many friends. Wang Lun is one of them. This poem was written when the poet left Wang Lun. Wang Lun patted his foot and threw the white away. Seeing this scene, Li Bai shed tears excitedly and wrote the poem "To Wang Lun" on the spot as a thank you.
The first two sentences of this poem are narrative, while the last two are lyrical, praising the sincere and profound friendship. The beauty lies in the use of metaphor in the summary sentence, which transforms the invisible friendship into a vivid image, ethereal, natural and intriguing.
