Xiangling wants to learn poetry, why bother to worship Daiyu as a teacher?

When I first saw a dream of red mansions, I was shocked by a scene inside. Xiangling wants to learn poetry. Why didn't she go to Baochai, who was equally talented and lived alone with her, but went further and further to find Lin Daiyu? Later, I watched a dream of red mansions many times and gradually understood why Xiangling did it.

First, from the author's point of view, Cao Xueqin has always portrayed Daiyu as sentimental and crying. Although brilliant, it seems a bit unreasonable, so the author here also wants to enrich her image and show that she is also a caring, compassionate and helpful person. In fact, the author added such a plot in this place to enrich the image of Daiyu.

Secondly, from Baochai's point of view, she has always believed that "a woman without talent is virtue" and "it is not her duty to learn poetry". In Xiangling's view, if you want to ask Baochai for advice, you will undoubtedly be cut off, and maybe you will be said to be idle and have to ask Lin Daiyu for advice. Although Baochai has a good literary talent, she is calm and doesn't like this kind of trouble. On the contrary, Jiao Jiao women like Lin Daiyu prefer it, which also shows that Daiyu is more sympathetic to the weak and easier to get along with than Baochai.

I like the book A Dream of Red Mansions very much. I can reflect the personality characteristics of the characters from a small plot in Xiangling's poems. I admire the author Cao Xueqin very much. This book is also called one of the four classic works. Every time I watch it, I have new experiences and new ideas, and I understand the love and hate inside. I feel that everything is more clear. This is really a good book.
