Shen Yue's Poems

Shen Yue was born in Wu Kang, Xing Wu (now Deqing, Zhejiang). Li Rennan lived in the Song and Qi Dynasties. In the first year of Qi Longchang (494), when he was appointed as the prefect of Dongyang County (Chen changed to Jinhua County), he built the Xuanchang Building. In the Tang Dynasty, Xuanchang Building was changed to Bayong Building. Bayong Building is located in the south corner of Jinhua, Zhejiang, facing Wujiang River.

Bayong Building was originally named Xuanchang Building. According to "County Records and National Records", "Jinhua County is a city because of its mountains, with streams in the south and buildings on Gaofu, which is called Xuanchang Building". At that time, it was towering in the dangerous building of Jinhua ancient city, monopolizing spring scenery. In the first year of Longchang in the Southern Dynasty (494), when Shen Yue came to Jinhua as the magistrate of Dongyang County, he visited Xuanchang Building many times and wrote many well-known poems. The first poem is "Climbing the Xuanchang Building": "The dangerous peak takes the north hill and pushes out the south cen. There is a Qingfeng Pavilion, looking back at Chuanyin. Every time the shore insurance increases and decreases, the rapids are flat and shallow. Running water in three schools, Taiwan in four. There is a stranger in the world, guest anxious to return. The fallen flowers reflect the long pu lightly, and you can find it in the mirror and candle. Clouds are dark when they rise and half cloudy when the sun goes down. I believe that beauty is not my soil, why not smoke. " This poem is fresh and lyrical. The location of Xuanchang Building is the highest point of Jinhua in the old days, "the platform is high on all sides". There is Beishan Shuanglong Scenic Area in the north with beautiful scenery; There are peaks and even barriers in the south; Yiwu River and Wuyi River meet under it, named Shuangxi, commonly known as Wujiang River. "Three schools of water" refers to this. It not only praised the beautiful scenery around Xuanchang Building, but also expressed his anxiety and melancholy at that time.

Later, he wrote the poem "Eight Chants of Xuanchang Building": "Looking at the autumn moon on the stage, the spring breeze will come. The grass withered at the end of the year, and first frost was sad. You can smell the night cranes at night and listen to Chen Hong in the morning. Xie Pei went to Chao's and was detained in Shandong. " After writing this poem, Shen Yue felt wanting more, so he wrote eight poems in one go, called "Eight Poems", which was passed down as a swan song at that time. Because these eight poems are the concrete expression of Shen Yue's temperament theory. In poetry, he began to consciously use four tones in the same direction and pay attention to rhyme, which promoted the development of later poetry, especially the occurrence and formation of rhythmic poetry in Tang Dynasty. Therefore, the literati in the Tang Dynasty held Shen Yue in high esteem. Therefore, from the Tang Dynasty, Xuanchang Building was changed to Bayong Building to commemorate the poem. Since then, Bayonglou has become a place where literati and poets can recite poems, which is well known.

In these eight poems, on the one hand, Shen Yue praised the beautiful scenery of the great rivers and mountains and the Xuanchang Building in Dongyang County, on the other hand, he expressed his political ambition to "fly with wings" in Dongyang County, hoping to "pitch and understand the sound" one day. Sure enough, he returned to Beijing soon after writing this poem. In Beijing, he became the founding father of Liang Dynasty because he helped Xiao Yan to be named Liang Wudi by Qi Chan. Official to Shang Shuling, Prince Shaofu, Feng Jianchang County Hou, died in seclusion, so it was called Shen Yinhou.
