What is the origin of rhyme at the end of a poem?

The rhyme method of poem ending originated in Xia and Shang Dynasties in China and matured in Western Zhou Dynasty.

Rhyme, or rhyming, refers to the use of words with the same or similar vowels in the last word of some sentences when creating rhymes, so as to produce a sonorous sense of harmony when reading or singing. These places where the same vowel is used are called rhymes.

Judging from the textual research of existing ancient poems, with the appearance of Chinese characters, people's understanding of rhyme has been deepened and consciously applied to poetry creation and singing.
