Look what God said to Abraham, the father of the Israelites:
12:1 The Lord said to Abram, “Leave your country, your kindred, and your father’s house.
12:2 “I will make you a great nation. I will bless you and make your name great, and you will bless others.
12:3 I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse those who curse you. All the families on earth will be blessed through you. ”
12:4 So Abram went as the LORD commanded him, and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he came out of Haran.
< p>12:5 Abram took his wife Sarai and his nephew Lot, and all the goods they had accumulated in Haran, and all the people they had gained, and they went to the land of Canaan. p>12:6 And Abram passed through the land, and came to the oak of Moreh, which is in the land of Shechem.
12:7 And the LORD appeared to Abram. , said, “I will give this land to your descendants. ” So Abram built an altar there to the LORD who had appeared to him.
13:14 After Lot parted from Abram, the LORD said to Abram, “From where you are, Lift up your eyes and look to the east, west, north and south.
13:15 All the land that you see I will give it to you and to your descendants forever.
13:16 I will also make your descendants as numerous as the dust of the earth. If anyone can number the dust of the earth, then his descendants can be numbered.
13:17 Arise and walk throughout the land, for I will give it to you. ”
22:13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there was a ram caught by its horns in a thick grove. So Abraham took the ram and offered it as a burnt offering in place of his son.
22:14 Abraham called the name of that place "Jehovah Jireh" (Note: It means "The Lord will provide"), and people still say to this day: "On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided." ”
22:15 The angel of the LORD called to Abraham a second time from heaven, saying:
22:16 “The LORD says, ‘Since you have done this, you will not withhold your
22:17 As for your son, your only son, I swear by myself:
22:17 As for blessings, I will bless you greatly; as for descendants, I will increase your descendants as many as The stars in the sky, the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will possess the gates of their enemies,
22:18 And through your descendants all the nations of the earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed my voice.
’”
