Bamboo leaves are indifferent to people, and chrysanthemums no longer need to bloom. ——Tang Dynasty·Du Fu's "Five Poems in Nine Days·One" Bamboo leaves have no distinction between people, and chrysanthemums no longer need to bloom. On the Double Ninth Festival, I drank a glass of wine alone, and when I got sick, I climbed the river and went to the stage.

Bamboo leaves are indifferent to people, and chrysanthemums no longer need to bloom.

The ape cries when the sun sets in a different place, and the white geese come before the frost in the old country.

Where are the depressions among the brothers and sisters? They are at war with each other and are in decline! Double Ninth Festival, climbing high, drinking and thinking about appreciation

This poem was written by Du Fu while climbing high in Kuizhou on the ninth day of the Double Ninth Festival in the second year of the Dali calendar (767). The poet related the reality of living in Kuizhou for two years and expressed his emotions about climbing on the Double Ninth Festival on September 9th. His ideological realm and artistic attainments are far higher than ordinary climbing articles.

The first couplet shows the poet's strong interest in life. The poet was a guest, and when the Double Ninth Festival arrived, he became very interested and went on stage despite being ill, drinking a glass of wine alone and admiring the beauty of autumn. The poet's passion for drinking and loving life are vividly reflected in his poems.

The chin couplet suddenly changed. It was the tradition of ancient scholars to drink and admire chrysanthemums during Chongjiu. However, the poet gave up drinking due to illness. Although he was "sick" on stage, he drank "nothing" and therefore had no intention of appreciating chrysanthemums. So the poet gave orders to the chrysanthemums: "The chrysanthemums no longer need to bloom!" This poem with a strong subjective emotion is interesting and seems to be a little willful, which just proves that the poet likes drinking wine and admiring chrysanthemums. The poet's willfulness is obviously due to his difficult life experience. In this couplet, Du Fu cleverly uses borrowed pairs (what Shen Deqian calls "true and false pairs"), borrowing the word "bamboo leaves" from the "Zhuyeqing" wine to be opposite to "chrysanthemum", "Xiao San is not embarrassed by Shengmo" ( "Poet's Jade Chip") is known as Du Lu's creative style. Although the chrysanthemums are real scenes, the "bamboo leaves" are not real things. However, because the words are neat and appropriate, they are particularly fresh and unique. The whole couplet has become a famous line that has been passed down through the ages.

The neck couplet further describes the poet's attention and reverie, and the sadness caused by the scene affects thousands of melancholy. The poet was alone and wandering in a different place. At sunset, he heard the cries of black apes, which made him shed tears. On a frosty autumn night, white wild geese come south, which is more likely to trigger the poet's feelings of homesickness. The poem contrasts the phenology of a foreign country with that of his hometown, which naturally reveals the poet's inner secret: It turns out that he stopped drinking wine and stopped appreciating flowers not only because of illness, but also because of the sultry nostalgia!

The last couplet ends with missing family members during the festive season, pitying the younger siblings from afar, and conveying the feeling of being alone. The first sentence comes from Yan Lai, who reminds him of the lack of news from his younger siblings; the second sentence laments that he has suffered from war and is old and sick. While the poet cursed the "fighting" that happened one after another like a life-threatening incident, he also lamented that the years kept urging people towards death, and vented more dissatisfaction with the root cause of the tragedy in life - "fighting". This is a direct expression of the poet's thoughts and feelings about the time and country.

Du Fu The autumn wind blows the dry grass on the ground, and the beautiful green shadows are born with the late cold. The autumn clouds linger and the frost flies late, leaving the withered lotuses to listen to the sound of rain. Nanpu is a sad farewell, the west wind is blowing in autumn. Sadness and sadness are approaching Changsha, the remote place where autumn is coming to an end. In autumn, the water is clear and the mountains are full of cicadas. The trees in Luoyang sing and smoke. The trees are falling and the wild geese are crossing south, and the north wind is blowing cold on the river. Meteors fly like jade bullets, swords fall into autumn frost. Withered phoenixes and green willows have pale brows, while dew-stained yellow flowers have deep smiles. The jade dew and the golden wind announce the autumn season, and the needle upstairs only contains sadness. The autumn grass in Wuyuan is green, and Hu Ma is so arrogant. The water surface of Nanling is long and leisurely, the wind is tight and the clouds are light, almost turning into autumn. At the dawn of autumn, I climb the lotus peak and lean against the green wall of the sky. The green Qin Garden is under the birds at dusk, the cicadas are chirping and the leaves are yellow in the Han Palace in autumn. Seeing the autumn grass in front of the Huamen Tower, how can we look at each other in poverty and poverty? Last night the autumn wind entered Hanguan, and the moon filled the western mountains beside the new moon.
